Type: Flexible Pipe Coupling (Non-Axial-Restraint) Pipe Size: 10" IPS (273.0 mm / 10.75" OD) Pressure Rating: 8 bar / 116 psi Seal Material: EPDM (NSF) Body Material: Stainless Steel Country/Region of Manufacture: Canada Condition: New Old Stock (NOS) Straub FLEX-series couplings join plain-end pipe of virtually any material — no beveling, grooving, or flanging required — and accommodate angular deflection and axial pipe movement (thermal expansion/contraction), making them a common alternative to rubber or metal expansion joints in industrial, marine, and municipal piping systems. As with all Straub FLEX (non-axial-restraint) couplings, this unit does not itself restrain axial pull-apart forces; suitable pipe anchoring must be provided elsewhere in the system, per the manufacturer's own caution label affixed to the unit. The EPDM sealing sleeve shows no wear or compression marks. The stainless band shows only light cosmetic handling marks from storage, and the plated tightening hardware shows light surface staining typical of long-term warehouse stock — normal for NOS coupling hardware of this type. Removing an item from manufacturer's packaging, or tampering with Factory Seals disqualifies the item from a refund. Shipping For most items under 120 pounds we offer FedEx shipping. Small items will often be sent USPS. We are happy to combine items when purchased on the same day. The final shipping costs will depend on the combined weight & dimension. We can generally ship overnight or expedited with FedEx or UPS. Our daily cutoff for overnight shipping is 1:00 CST. If an item is to be shipped via freight please contact us for a shipping quote. You can also arrange your own freight. Depending on the item we will charge $50-$150 to palletize and shrink wrap your item for shipping. Crating is an additional charge. Buyer responsible for sending us a BOL prior to loading if they are arranging shipping. International buyers are responsible for all import duties, taxes and charges.
