Step Chuck Closer (5C) Size: 4" H7 Roto A step chuck closer mounts directly to the lathe spindle nose and applies clamping pressure over the stepped gripping section of a matching Hardinge 5C step chuck, providing the greater gripping power and accuracy needed when working with step chucks on a rotating spindle. This unit has a threaded spindle mount (internal threads, shown in photos) and is made of cast iron, consistent with Hardinge's standard construction for this closer line. The exact mounting thread size was not measured. Hardinge produced these closers to fit a variety of spindle nose threads across their different lathes and chuckers, so please review the photos of the internal threads carefully and confirm fit against your specific spindle nose before purchasing. Shows normal handling and shop wear consistent with prior use; no cracks or damage are visible on the threads or the internal tapered bore. What's Included Sale includes the item shown in the photographs. Returns All refund requests must be initiated within 30 Days of Date of Receipt. Transactions outside of 30 Days are not eligible for refunds. We offer refunds for items which are Not as Described or Non Functional. Items must be received back for inspection prior to refund. Buyer is responsible for shipping both ways if the return is for a reason other than not as described or nonfunctional. Items sold as "New" or "New (Other)" or with a factory sealed box must be received back in original condition including all packaging with intact factory seals to qualify for a refund. Removing an item from manufacturer's packaging, or tampering with Factory Seals disqualifies the item from a refund. Shipping For most items under 120 pounds we offer FedEx shipping. Small items will often be sent USPS. We are happy to combine items when purchased on the same day. The final shipping costs will depend on the combined weight & dimension. We can generally ship overnight or expedited with FedEx or UPS. Our daily cutoff for overnight shipping is 1:00 CST. If an item is to be shipped via freight please contact us for a shipping quote. You can also arrange your own freight. Depending on the item we will charge $50-$150 to palletize and shrink wrap your item for shipping. Crating is an additional charge. Buyer responsible for sending us a BOL prior to loading if they are arranging shipping. International buyers are responsible for all import duties, taxes and charges.
